Guru Purnima Celebration at VKZPV Port Mout

On 10^th July 2025, at around 9am Guru Purnima was celebrated at VKZPV Port Mout. Guru Purnima is a significant festival dedicated to honour the teachers and mentors. It's a day for disciples to express gratitude and reverence for those who guide them on their spiritual and intellectual journeys.

On this special day Shri. Prakash Adhikari , Adhyaksh Zilla Parishad South Andaman was the Chief Guest and Shri. B. Bhoominathan , Up-Adhyaksh  Zilla Parishad South Andaman was the Special Guest with other dignitaries. The program began with lighting the lamp by the Chief Guest and other guests followed by Ekya Mantra.The Principal Smti. Sabita Devi addressed the gathering and appreciated the students for their excellence in the examination. A  student of class XI, Payal Kirtania delivered a speech on Guru Purnima, followed by a patriotic song on guru, sung by students of classes IX and X.

Futher, Smti. Menoka Paik one of the teachers highlighted the significance and key aspects of Guru Purnima in her speech.

The students of classes X and XII were felicitated with trophies and certificates by the Chief Guest and other Guests for their outstanding performance in the academic session of 2024-25 of CBSE Board Exam. A total of 6 toppers from classes X and XII, and 8 subject toppers were honoured for their academic excellence along with their parents. The Chief Guest motivated the students by sharing inspirational words and encouraged them to pursue their dreams with dedication and confidence.

Altogether 100 students, 13 parents and 05 teachers were present.

 

The program was anchored by Smti. P. Kavitha (Teacher ) and the vote of thanks was proposed by Smti. B. Latha (Teacher).

The programme concluded with Shanti Mantra.

On the same day, our school organised Swadhyay for teachers and had a small discussion on Guru Purnima. Altogether 32 teachers participated.
