Amrut Parivaar Organised by VKZPV Port Mout at School Premises
On 26th July 2025, the school premises came alive with the vibrant celebration of "Amrut Parivaar" , a cultural event dedicated to honouring Indian family values, unity, and tradition. The event brought together students, parents, and teachers through the joyful expression of language, attire, and traditional cuisine.
The program began with a flower offering to “Om” by the HOI, teachers, parents, and children, signifying purity, peace, and togetherness. This was followed by the recitation of the “Ekyamantra”, which filled the atmosphere with a sense of spiritual unity. After this, the Head of Institution warmly welcomed the gathering, appreciating the presence and participation of the families, and highlighting the importance of preserving our cultural roots.
The
celebration continued with the patriotic group song “Nirmanon ke Pavan Yug
Mein”, performed by teachers, parents, and students, spreading a strong message
of unity and nation-building. After the song, one of our teachers, Smt. Menoka
Paik, highlighted the significance of 'Amrut Parivaar'. She spoke about how the
concept reflects the timeless Indian ideals of an ideal family — one that
nurtures love, respect, and shared responsibility among its members. She
emphasized that the strength of our society lies in strong families, where
cultural, moral, and emotional values are rooted and sustained from an early
age.
Six
families participated in the event, wearing traditional attire representing
different regions such as Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Nicobari Tribe, and West
Bengal, showcasing their regional identities. A memorable part of the event was
when children brought homemade traditional dishes and explained their names,
ingredients, and cultural relevance in their own mother tongue, fostering a
deep connection between food and language.
Following
the food display, a fun game session was held in which parents, teachers, and
children participated actively, led by one of the teachers, Smt. P. Kavitha,
adding laughter, teamwork, and excitement to the day. The entire program
commenced with Miss R. Simran. The event concluded with a vote of thanks
proposed by Shri Debashish, who appreciated the efforts of all participants,
families, and staff members for making the program a grand success.
Parents
expressed their appreciation for this thoughtful initiative, sharing that the
event gave them an opportunity to connect deeply with the school and its
culture. They expressed willingness to support and contribute to such programs
in the future. The “Amrut Parivaar” celebration left behind a strong message of
togetherness, cultural pride, and the importance of family in shaping a
harmonious society. The event concluded on a high note, with everyone looking
forward to the next culture extravaganza.
