on the Earthquake Mock Drill
On 31st
August 2024, an Earthquake mock drill was conducted in our Vidyalaya. It was
executed to create awareness and preparedness during calamities. The students
were trained to be alert, quick and responsible, follow instructions, maintain
calm and avoid panic to avert stampede and casualities’. Around 627 students, 31
teachers participated in the drill. As per the order, the hooter rang at 11:10
am and the students quickly moved out covering their heads. All the members of
the different teams took charge and helped in the evacuation process along with
their in charges. They were evacuated from the school building within 05 minutes.
The head count was done by the class teachers to ensure the presence of
student. Evacuation drills are always helpful in rectifying the shortcomings
and improving the plan.
