Our Vision & Mission
Vivekananda Kendra is a spiritually
oriented service mission which has its head quarters at Kanyakumari, Tamil
Nadu.
Mananeeya Sri Eknathji Ranade established this organization for inspiring two things;

First, how the vision of great
people always gets materialized.

Secondly, the dedication and
tireless effort needed to give concrete shape to the vision.
The main aim and
objectives of Vivekananda Kendra is “Man
making and Nation building”.
Vivekananda Kendra is running 11 schools in A & N
Islands, in which VKZPV Port Mout is one of the schools in South Andaman district
which is running with the coordination of Zilla
Parishad South Andaman and Vivekananda
Kendra to impart qualitative education and rebuild a new strong India.
It is situated
at distance of 18 Km from the Port Blair city and located at a beautiful hill
foot, Port Mout.
The School has
come a long way in imparting quality education to the students of rural areas.
The school which
started in the year of 2003, with Kindergarten and Class I with 56 students and
it has been upgraded to Senior Secondary
level with the total strength of 808
students including a faculty of 28 teaching and 05 non-teaching staff.
Apart from
academics, equal emphasis is given to co-curricular activities and all efforts
are made to mould student’s personality at physical, mental, intellectual and
spiritual level with special emphasis on our Indian culture.
The school management
also provide to all students an access to high quality of the education that
embraces and enhances inter cultural understanding and respect among the
students and enable them to become a good citizen.
The school
regards education as the most effective means of promoting national development
and the integral development of the humanity. The school is dedicated mainly
towards helping the children to grow freely in clean and healthy surroundings.
