Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout, South Andaman

Date: 23rd March 2026 to 25th March 2026

 

The Personality Development Camp (PDC) was successfully conducted in our Vidyalaya for the students of Classes VI and VII of the session 2026-2027 with the objective of enhancing their overall personality, learning abilities, and life skills through various informative and interactive sessions.

A total of 92 students actively participated in the camp. To promote teamwork and participation, students were divided into four ganas comprising Classes VI and VII.

 

Day 1:

*23rd March 2026

 



The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Shri Prakash Adhikari, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, followed by the Ekya Mantra. The HOI, Smti Sabita Devi, delivered the welcome speech, followed by the Shibir Geet.

The first session (Prerna-1) was conducted by Shri Prakash Adhikari, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, who spoke on “Journey to Leadership – From Struggle to Success,” which deeply motivated and inspired the students.

After a short break,

the second session (Prerna-2) was conducted by Smti Sweta Berma, Gender Specialist, and Smti Apurva Singh, Research and Technology Specialist from the Social Welfare Department, Goal Ghar. They interacted with the students and shared informative knowledge on “Guiding Young Minds – Understanding Attraction and Emotions.”                                   

Following the lunch break, the students participated in an Art and Craft session conducted by Shri Ramesh Rai (Teacher) and team members to improve their overall skills, where they made various items using paper.


   

 

    


Sanskar Vargha was conducted by Ms. Bhumika Tripathi (Teacher) and team members, emphasizing moral values and character building. The day concluded with a prayer at 2:30 p.m.

 

Day 2:

*24th March 2026S


The second day began with the Shibir Geet (Seva ka Vrat Dhara), followed by the first session (Prerna-1), a brief talk on “Fire Safety – Prevention is Better than Cure” by Shri T. Sunil Kumar, Sub-Inspector, Ferrargunj.

The next session (Prerna-2)*was on *“Kindness to Animals, Safety to All,” delivered by Dr. Sanjali from the Veterinary Department, Port Mout.

After a short break, the next session (Manthan) was conducted by Smti Deviya Shosan Dhanwar (Teacher) and Smti Nisha Yadav (Teacher). They spoke on "Voices of Inspiration: Stories of India's 


Strength - Samartha Bharat Parv."

After lunch, Ms. Rakhi Kishen (Teacher) and Ms. Ravina Kerketta (Teacher) shared inspirational stories from the "Life of Swami Vivekananda” encouraging students to adopt good habits and pursue new opportunities.

 

                                                                                                     

Kendra Vargha was conducted by Smti B. Latha (Teacher) and team members, focusing on values and discipline. The day concluded with a prayer.

 

Day 3:

*25th March 2026                                                     

The third day started with the Shibir Geet, followed by the session (Prerna-1), “Clean Living, Better Living – Importance of Personal Hygiene,” by Dr. Smitha, PHC Chouldari.

                                                                                          


The next session (Prerna-2) was “We are VKV'ians – Sharing Experiences, Inspiring Future – Alumni Interaction,” conducted by the Alumni (ex-students)

Mr. Vidyut Kr. Yadav, Engineer, INS Utkrosh, Sri Vijaya Puram;

Ms. S. Diksha, Police Constable, PS Pahargaon

Ms. Ipshita Roy, Police Constable, PS Bambooflat.

 

After a short break, Amrut Parivar (Bhojan) was conducted by Smti P.Kavitha and team members in which they were focusing on how  to prepare food without fire.

 

The camp concluded with a valedictory function in the presence of the Chief Guest, *Smti Pramila Kumari, Zilla Parishad Member, Chouldari Constituency. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by the Ekya Mantra. The HOI delivered the welcome speech, followed by the Shibir Geet by the students.  K. Mokshika of class VI and Preetha Ejerdar of class VII shared their three-days camp experience.

Smti. Menoka Paik, Shibir Pramukh, presented the report of the three-day Personality Development Camp.



 The Chief Guest, Smti Pramila Kumari,ZP Member interacted with the students and shared valuable insights. Students were given mementos as a token of love. At the end.

 


The Shibir Pramukh, Smti Menoka Paik, delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the Vidyalaya.

The three-day Personality Development Camp was highly successful, informative, and engaging. It provided students with valuable knowledge, skills, and moral values essential for their holistic development. Such initiatives play a vital role in shaping students into confident, responsible, and disciplined individuals. The Vidyalaya looks forward to organizing more such programs in the future.
