Teacher’s Day in India is celebrated on September 5th
to honour the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a respected
teacher, Scholar and philosopher Teacher’s Day holds immense signifance as it
acknowledges the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the minds and futures of
students. On 5th September 2024, we celebrated Teacher’s Day in our
vidyalaya. At first, it was started with school prayer. The Principal addressed
the gathering and floral tribute was paid to the portrait of Dr. RadhaKrishnan
by the Principal and all the teachers. Around 691 students, 31 teaching staff
and 4 Non teaching staff were present.
The responsibility of teaching was taken up by the
students of class XI and XII as an appreciation for their teachers. After the
classes,at around 12:30 pm a small programme was arranged by the students for
their teachers. The programme began with welcome addresss by the student
Principal Miss Swastika Halder and a momento
was presented to our Principal Madam. Song was presented by the students
of class XI.
The programme was anchored by Miss A.S. Sadhana and
Miss Nethra.
At last Miss Tanushree Roy proposed the vote of
thanks.
