on Universal Brotherhood Day
Swami Vivekananda’s historical speech at the
Parliament of religions at Chicago on 11th September 1893 is
observed as Universal Brotherhood Day every year around the world. On this day,
Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated in our Vidyalaya. Smti. Pramila
Kumari, Zilla Parishad member Chouldari constituency was the chief guest, where
as Shri. Gadhadar Mazumder, Ex-Zilla Parishad Member Chouldari and Smti.Chaitali Roy, Samiti member Chouldari were the special Guests. The Program was
started by lighting the traditional lamp by the chief guest and the Special
Guest followed by Ekya Mantra. A welcome speech was presented by our
Principal, Smti. Sabita Devi. One of our students highlighted the significance of
the day followed by cultural song and dance, N.K. Shama Sajid of class 11th
delivered the Chicago Address followed by a skit based on the same. The Chief
Guest and the Special Guests motivated the students by their inspirational
words.
In connection with Universal Brotherhood Day, various
competitions were held and prizes were given to the winners by the Chief Guest
and the Special Gifts.
The program was anchored by Nethra of class 12th
and Prateek Pershad of class 11th . At last, one of our teacher Smti. B. Latha proposed the vote of thanks followed by Shanti Mantra.
