The Observance of Eknathji's Punyathithi
On 22 August 2026, , Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Port Mout, observed the Punyathithi of Eknathji with due respect and reverence in the school premises.
The programme was organized to remember and honour the life, dedication, and valuable contributions of Eknathji, whose ideals and service continue to inspire generations. The significance of the day was highlighted by Miss. S. Divya, one of our teachers of the Vidyalaya. In her address, she explained the importance of observing Eknathji’s Punyathithi and spoke about his commitment, vision, and contribution towards society and the nation. She also emphasized the importance of following the values of service, dedication, discipline, and social responsibility in our daily lives.
Following the address, the HOI and all the teachers paid their floral tribute to the portrait of Eknathji as a mark of respect and remembrance. The atmosphere was solemn and respectful as everyone came together to honour his memory.
Eknathji’s Punyathithi is observed every year to remember his significant contribution and to keep his ideals and inspiring legacy alive among the younger generation.
The observance at the Vidyalaya provided an opportunity for the teachers and all the members to reflect upon his life and reaffirm their commitment to the values of selfless service and dedication.
The programme concluded with a sense of respect and gratitude towards Eknathji and his enduring contribution to society and the nation.
