Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration
On 15th September 2026, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout, celebrated the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi . The celebration was held during the afternoon and was attended by students from Classes I–V, VI–VIII, and IX–XII.
The programme began with a speech delivered by Rethika Ram, a teacher of the Vidyalaya, who spoke about the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi and the importance of Lord Ganesha in Indian culture.
The celebration was made more devotional and joyful with bhajans sung by the teachers and students. The Principal, teachers, and students also offered flowers to the portrait of Lord Ganesha and sought His blessings.
As part of the celebrations, an Idol-Making Competition was organized before the main event. The students enthusiastically participated in the competition and created beautiful idols of Lord Ganesha. The idols made by the students were displayed and kept on the occasion, adding colour and creativity to the celebration.
The celebration was a meaningful and joyful occasion that brought together the students and teachers in a spirit of devotion, creativity, and togetherness.
A total no.of 702 students, 34 teachers and 06 non-teaching staff were part of the celebration.
