 Republic day


On 26th January, 2026, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout commemorated the 77th Republic Day with immense enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and solemn pride.

The day commenced early with a Prabhat Pheri at around 6:15 a.m. during which students marched energetically through the locality, echoing spirited patriotic slogans. The vibrant procession created an atmosphere charged with national pride and unity.

Following the Prabhat Pheri, the formal programme unfolded in the school premises.The flag was unfurled by the Chief Guest Shri.S.Bhoominathan ,UP- Adhyaksh Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, followed by National Anthem.

20 students from BV 1- VIII appeared in the get-up of great freedom fighters, portraying their lives and sacrifices and also the formation of Republic Day was also made by the students.The significance of Republic Day was eloquently highlighted through inspiring and thought-provoking speeches delivered by the teachers of the Vidyalaya, Shri Naresh Kumar Dey and Miss. Sujata Biswas.

Their addresses emphasized the values of the Indian Constitution, democratic ideals, and the responsibilities of responsible citizens.

A special highlight of the programme was a confident and heart-warming speech delivered by Adyant Jeet Singh of Class I. Despite his tender age, his clarity of expression and confidence earned widespread appreciation from the audience.

The celebration also included a felicitation ceremony in which 07 students who had maintained 100% attendance throughout the academic session were honoured, motivating others to cultivate discipline and regularity.

The Chief Guest enlightened the gathering with an inspiring address on Republic Day and showered blessings on the children.

The programme concluded gracefully with a vote of thanks presented by Smti. Aarti Das acknowledging the collective efforts of the teachers, students, and staff. To mark the joyous occasion, special snacks were distributed among the students, adding to the festive spirit.

 A total no.of 336 students along with 31 teaching and 06 non-teaching staff were present on the occasion.

Overall, the Republic Day celebration was well-organized, inspiring, and memorable, leaving a lasting impression of patriotism and national pride in the hearts of all present.
