 KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

On 16thAugust 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout celebrated the auspicious festival of Krishna Janmashtami with immense zeal, devotion, and cultural fervor. The event beautifully captured the essence of Lord Krishna's birth and the vibrant traditions associated with this sacred festival.

The day began at 8:30 a.m. with the joyful arrival of students, many accompanied by their parents. Young children, dressed gracefully as Radha Rani and Lord Krishna, brought divine charm to the occasion with their colorful costumes and innocent smiles, creating a spiritually uplifting and festive atmosphere.

The celebration officially commenced with a series of cultural performances and ceremonial proceedings. The HOI, teachers and all staff extended a warm welcome to all attendees with love and heartfelt hospitality, setting a gracious and joyful tone for the day.

A major highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where winners of various competitions held in the days leading up to the festival were recognized and applauded. These included creative and traditional contests such as Flute Decoration, Crown Making, Conch Blowing and Jhula Making. Parents were also invited to serve as judges for these events, fostering greater community engagement and involvement. The students exhibited exceptional creativity and enthusiasm, further enriching the spirit of the celebration.

The school campus buzzed with excitement and joy throughout the day, as students radiated happiness and pride. The entire celebration was a beautiful blend of devotion, artistic expression, and community participation.

The event concluded on a sweet and harmonious note with the distribution of Prasad to all students, staff, and guests, fostering a deep sense of unity and gratitude.

In total, 77 students, along with 100 parents, teachers, and non-teaching staff, attended and contributed to the success.
