Children's day Celebration 2025

On 14th  November 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout celebrated the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru—affectionately known as Chacha Nehru—as Children’s Day with exceptional zeal, vibrant colours, and deep emotional warmth. The entire campus radiated joy, excitement, and youthful energy as students and teachers came together to honour the spirit of childhood.

The celebration commenced with a refreshing and spirited morning assembly, which set a dignified and uplifting tone for the day. The Principal offered a heartfelt floral tribute to Pandit Nehru, remembering his unwavering love for children and his inspiring vision for India’s future. This was followed by thoughtful and motivating speeches. Smti. A. Pooja shared her insights on the significance of the day, while Kri. Bhavya Das of Class VIII impressed everyone with her eloquent and meaningful words on the priceless value of childhood and the legacy of Chacha Nehru. Adding to the warm ambience, the school also celebrated the birthday of one of its students through the traditional custom of tikka, flower offering, and the presentation of a greeting card.

The day was observed as a Bagless Day for all classes from Balvatika I to Class IX& XI, allowing students to enjoy learning through activities and experiences rather than textbooks. Teachers welcomed their students with affectionate gestures, presenting a small token of love—a beautiful bouquet passed from the Principal and teachers to each student of Balvatika I to Class IX and Class XI. The application of Tika Chandan further expressed respect, blessings, and the bond between teachers and students.

The atmosphere soon grew even more energetic as Miss Ankita Biswas took over the stage with her lively and engaging anchoring. Her confident presence kept the audience entertained and set a spirited pace for the events that followed.

A graceful felicitation ceremony was then held to honour the toppers based on recently held Half Yearly Examination 2025-26, from Balvatika I to Class XI. Each topper received a fresh flower, sacred Chandan (Tilak), and sweets from the Principal. This thoughtful recognition encouraged the achievers and inspired all students to strive for excellence. The school also proudly presented awards for the Best Class and Best English-Speaking Class, fostering healthy competition and building teamwork, discipline, and enthusiasm.

The cultural segment of the programme was a true feast for the senses. Students from Balvatika I to Class IX and Class XI showcased a rich array of performances, including colourful dances, melodious solo songs, expressive poem recitations, impactful skits, and many more creative presentations. The stage came alive with vibrant costumes, rhythmic music, and the uninhibited joy of children expressing themselves. A Sanskaar Varga was also organised, nurturing values and tradition among the students. Alongside, thrilling games such as tug of war added excitement, lively cheering, and laughter to the joyous atmosphere.

Another highlight of the celebration was the captivating exhibition of paper cut-outs and creative handicrafts prepared by Shri Ramesh Rai from Delhi. His intricate and imaginative creations fascinated the students, opening their minds to creativity, craftsmanship, and artistic brilliance.

To conclude the delightful occasion, a sumptuous and delicious lunch was served to all students from Balvatika I to Class IX & XI. The meal not only satisfied their taste buds but also brought everyone together in a spirit of unity and happiness.

Overall, Children’s Day 2025 was a heartwarming, memorable, and joy-filled celebration. The entire programme beautifully reflected the energy, dreams, talents, and vibrant spirit of every child at the Vidyalaya. It was a day that reinforced the school’s commitment to nurturing confident, compassionate, and creative future citizens.

Overall, a total no.of 697 students, 33 teaching and 06 non- teaching staff were part of the celebration.
