Celebration of 150th Anniversary of Vande Mataram

On 7th November 2025, VKZPV Port Mout celebrated the 150th Anniversary of Vande Mataram with great enthusiasm. A mass singing programmed was organized at 9:50 AM in the school premises. A total of 810 students and 33 teachers participated in the event. The patriotic song echoed through the campus, creating a sense of pride and unity among all. The celebration concluded with a short speech highlighting the significance of Vande Mataram in India’s freedom movement.








 

Report on the event - "Kendra Varga"

Date: 07th November 2025

Venue: Kali Mandir, Lal Pahad

Organised by: VIVEKANANDA KENDRA ZILLA PARISHAD VIDYALAYA, PORT MOUT

 

On 07th November 2025,  Kendra Varga was conducted at Lal Pahad, Chouldari. The session began at 2:45 PM with three Omkaras, followed by the Shantipath and Karmayoga shloka. Agyaa Abhyas like Nishchalo bhava and Susthito bhava were  performed followed by  Yoga Abhyas like Vrikshasana and Tadasana for the wellness of mind and body.

Engaging games like Fal Sabji and Ping Pong brought fun and excitement to the session. A patriotic song ' Chandan hai is desh ki maati ' sung by one of teachers followed by a Charcha on ' Amrut Parivar '.

Altogether 22 parents and 08 teachers actively participated in the event. Lastly the programme concluded with Avlokan  by Miss Sujata Biswas followed by Shanti Mantra.















 

Report on the Event: Bhajan Sandhya

On 7th November, 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout organised a soulful Bhajan Sandhya at Lord Shiva Temple, Nimbu Bagicha. The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Smti. Arati Madam, followed by Shanti Paat, Ekya Mantra, and a series of devotional bhajans sung by students in reverence to Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna, Goddess Devi, and the recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 9 teachers, 20 parents, and 10 children, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion and tranquility. The evening concluded with the Sandhya Aarti, distribution of Prasad, and a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Smti. Deviya Shosan Dhanwar.

The Bhajan Sandhya proved to be a spiritually enriching experience, fostering unity and harmony among students, teachers, parents, and the local community.












 

Report on- Amrut Parivaar Awareness Meeting

An Awareness Meeting on Amrut Parivaar was held on 4th November, 2025 at 2.30 pm at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout in the school premises. The objective of the meeting was to create awareness among parents regarding the concept and importance of the Amrut Parivaar initiative.

A total of 86 parents and 32Teachers attended the meeting with great enthusiasm. The Head of Institution (HOI) of the school briefed the gathering about the significance of Amrut Parivaar, emphasizing its role in promoting family values, health awareness, and community well-being. The session helped parents understand how the initiative can strengthen family bonding and encourage positive practices at home.

During the meeting, ten SANKUL groups of parents were formed to ensure active participation and better implementation of the Amrut Parivaar programme.

Overall, the meeting was a great success. It served as an effective platform to spread awareness among parents and received positive feedback from all participants.






 

Report on Sanskaar Varga

Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout, conducted a Sanskaar Varga on  November 1st , 2025, with the enthusiastic participation of 66 students from Classes VI A and VI B.

The session began at 8:35 a.m. with three Omkaras, followed by the Shantipath and Karmayoga Shloka. This was followed by a yoga session comprising Ardha Kati Chakrasana and Ardha Chakrasana, which promoted discipline, balance, and self-awareness while helping students connect their body, mind, and breath for overall well-being.

In the next segment, students practiced the three Agyas — Nishchalo Bhava, Susthito Bhava, and Swastho Bhava. They also participated in engaging games such as “Namaste Ji”, which added fun and excitement to the session.

After that, a storytelling session was held, during which P. Pushkarni shared an inspiring story about the unsung hero Aruna Asaf Ali.

Towards the end, students expressed their reflections during the Avalokan session. The programme concluded with the Shanti Mantra, followed by the Kendra  Prarthana.









 

Report on: “Ek Dweep Shahidon Ke Naam”

Venue: Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout

On 18th October 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout celebrated a meaningful and patriotic event titled "Ek Dweep Shahidon Ke Naam" as a part of the Diwali celebrations, dedicated to paying homage to the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the nation's freedom and welfare.

To commemorate this special occasion, a series of House-wise competitions were organized for the students of Classes IX to XII, which included:

* Diya Decoration Competition

* Rangoli Making Competition

Students participated with great enthusiasm and creativity, showcasing not only their artistic skills but also their deep respect and admiration for the sacrifices made by the martyrs. The colorful rangolis and beautifully decorated diyas transformed the school premises into a vibrant and reflective space of celebration and remembrance.

Additionally, students of Balvatika actively took part in Bagless Day activities organized in connection with the celebration. These engaging activities allowed younger students to learn about the significance of the day through creative and experiential learning methods.

A total no. of 789 students along with the 31 teaching & 6 non- teaching staff were a part of these celebrations.

The entire event was a perfect blend of festivity, patriotism, and educational engagement, successfully instilling a sense of national pride and cultural responsibility among the students.

 

Report on -Gandhiji Jayanti and ShastriJi 

Jayanti

On 2nd  October 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout, celebrated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi ji and Lal Bahadur Shastri ji with great enthusiasm and reverence.

The celebration began with a Prabhat Pheri at 6:30 AM, in which teachers and students of the Vidyalaya actively participated, spreading messages of peace and harmony in the surrounding area.

Following this, the morning program commenced with Ms. Pooja, a teacher of the Vidyalaya, who warmly anchored the event. The Principal, along with the teaching staff, paid a floral tribute to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi ji and Lal Bahadur Shastri ji.

To highlight the importance of the day, Ms. Bhumika Tripathi, one of the teachers, delivered an insightful speech on the lives and values of both Gandhi ji and Shastri ji. This was followed by a speech on Gandhi Jayanti by Ekta Mridha, a student of Class VIII, who spoke with confidence and clarity.

Next, the teachers sang the soulful 'Ram Dhun' (Bhajan), which was then joined by the students, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere.

The program concluded with students offering floral tributes to the portraits of the two great leaders, paying their respects and expressing gratitude for their contributions to the nation.

Overall, the program was well-organized and meaningful, instilling values of simplicity, truth, and patriotism among the students.

At the end sweets were distributed to the students.

A total no. of 62 students, 28 teaching and 7 non- teaching staffs were present on the occasion.
