Report on Universal Brotherhood Day

Swami Vivekananda’s historical speech at the Parliament of religions at Chicago on 11th September 1893 is observed as Universal Brotherhood Day every year around the world. On this day, Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated in our Vidyalaya. Smti. Pramila Kumari, Zilla Parishad member Chouldari constituency was the chief guest, where as Shri. Gadhadar Mazumder, Ex-Zilla Parishad Member Chouldari and Smti.Chaitali Roy, Samiti member Chouldari were the special Guests. The Program was started by lighting the traditional lamp by the chief guest and the Special Guest followed by Ekya Mantra. A welcome speech was presented by our Principal, Smti. Sabita Devi. One of our students highlighted the significance of the day followed by cultural song and dance, N.K. Shama Sajid of class 11th delivered the Chicago Address followed by a skit based on the same. The Chief Guest and the Special Guests motivated the students by their inspirational words.

In connection with Universal Brotherhood Day, various competitions were held and prizes were given to the winners by the Chief Guest and the Special Gifts.

The program was anchored by Nethra of class 12th and Prateek Pershad of class 11th . At last, one of our teacher Smti. B. Latha proposed the vote of thanks followed by Shanti Mantra.

Report on Idol Making

On the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi Idol Making competition was organized in our Vidyalaya on 6th September 2024, around 82 students from classes VI to XI participated in this competition and showcased their artistic talent.







 

Report on Teacher’s Day

Teacher’s Day in India is celebrated on September 5th to honour the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a respected teacher, Scholar and philosopher Teacher’s Day holds immense signifance as it acknowledges the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the minds and futures of students. On 5th September 2024, we celebrated Teacher’s Day in our vidyalaya. At first, it was started with school prayer. The Principal addressed the gathering and floral tribute was paid to the portrait of Dr. RadhaKrishnan by the Principal and all the teachers. Around 691 students, 31 teaching staff and 4 Non teaching staff were present.

The responsibility of teaching was taken up by the students of class XI and XII as an appreciation for their teachers. After the classes,at around 12:30 pm a small programme was arranged by the students for their teachers. The programme began with welcome addresss by the student Principal Miss Swastika Halder and a momento  was presented to our Principal Madam. Song was presented by the students of class XI.

The programme was anchored by Miss A.S. Sadhana and Miss Nethra.

At last Miss Tanushree Roy proposed the vote of thanks. 






 

Report on Quiz competition
On 3rd September 2024, our school organized Quiz  competition on the topic Ganesha, in connection with Ganesh Chathurthi. Students from classes VI-XI actively participated in this competition.The winners were declined on the same day.

Report on Ganesh Chathurthi

On 6th September 2024, Ganesh Chathurti was celebrated in our Vidyalaya. Ganesh Chathurti is a festival rich in cultural, religion and social significance. It celebrates not only the birth of lord Ganesha but also the values he embodies. He is revered as the remour of obstacles and the good of beginnings, wisdom and prosperity. The programme began with lighting the lamp by the Principal Smti. Sabita Devi followed by Ekya mantra by the students. A Speech was delivered by one of our teachers Debashish Podder highlighting the importances of this festival, followed by bhajan. The whole programme was anchored by Nethra of class XII. Around 730 students and 31 teachers were present.

Report on the Earthquake Mock Drill

 

Report on the Earthquake Mock Drill
On 31st August 2024, an Earthquake mock drill was conducted in our Vidyalaya. It was executed to create awareness and preparedness during calamities. The students were trained to be alert, quick and responsible, follow instructions, maintain calm and avoid panic to avert stampede and casualities’. Around 627 students, 31 teachers participated in the drill. As per the order, the hooter rang at 11:10 am and the students quickly moved out covering their heads. All the members of the different teams took charge and helped in the evacuation process along with their in charges. They were evacuated from the school building within 05 minutes. The head count was done by the class teachers to ensure the presence of student. Evacuation drills are always helpful in rectifying the shortcomings and improving the plan.

Report on Interschool Competition

On 29th August 2024, Sports Day was observed in IRBn, Port Mout. Various Interschool Sports Competition were conducted on the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, around 12 students from our Vidyalaya actively participated in Carrom and Table Tennis, in which 6 students secured first and second position in both the games.
