Report on Shiksha Saptah

 

DAY 01

On 22nd July 2024, TLM Day was observed, where teachers showcased and used local context-based Teaching-Learning Materials in the classroom. Around 50 students from different grades and 20 teachers actively participated on the first day of Shiksha Saptah.


DAY 02

On 23rd July 2024, FLN Day was observed, where teachers shared the importance of FLN and took a pledge on NIPUN Bharat. Around 712 Students, 32 Teaching staff and 05 members from community were present. FLN activities were conducted for classes III and IV on Maths and Hindi. All teachers and students actively participated on the second day of Shiksha Saptah.


DAY 03 

On 24th July 2024, Sports Day was organized in our school. The Physical Education Incharge shared the significance of sports and fitness amongst students. Four games namely Cheel Jappata, Kanche/ Marbles, Dhop khel and Lagori were conducted, around 112 Students from classes V, VIII, IX and XI participated in the event along with 05 teachers. The event was well-organized and the participants displayed excellent sportsmanship and teamwork.


DAY 04 

On 25th July 2024, Cultural Day was observed in our vidyalaya to promote unity among students. Students showcased their talents in traditional Indian song followed by a Nukkad Natak and conveyed a meaningful message of togetherness and richness of a cultural heritage. Around 70 students along with 06 teachers were present in the program.



DAY 05

On 26th July 2024, skilling and digital initiatives day was observed to educated students about basic vocational skills, online safety and digitalization. students gained hand on experience on pot making and explored emerging skills and technology. Around 50 students and 03 teachers actively participated on the 5th day of Shiksha Saptah.



DAY 06

On 27th July 2024, Eco clubs for Mission life day was observed to promote environmental awareness. Students, parents and teachers planted saplings in the school premises to promote afforestation. Around 25 students, 25 parents and 11 Teachers actively participated on the 6th day of Shiksha Saptah.


DAY 07

On 28th July 2024, community involvement day was organized in our vidyalaya. Smti. Pramila kumari, Zilla Parishad Member, Chouldari Constituency was invited as a special guest. A Speech was delivered by one of our teachers on vidyanjali. Smti. Pramila Kumari Madam enlightened us with her motivational words. Around 30 Students, 40 parents and 31 Teachers were present in the event. Lastly the program concluded with Tithi Bhojan.

Interschool Football Competition

 On 22nd July 2024,an interschool football competition was organized in which 8 schools participated.

Namely-GSSS Calicut,VKZPV (Port Mout), Don Bosco Sr.Sec.School,GSSS Manglutan,GSSS Prothrapur,GSSS Rangachang,GSSS Port Mout and Saraswati shishu Mandir School .

The programme was inaugurated by the Director of Education A&N Islands at GSSS Bathubasti (School ground).

The first match was held between VKZPV Port-Mout and GSSS Calicut . In which our students of football team participated enthusiastically. And the Director of Education encouraged the players with his motivational and vivacious words.

Guru Purnima

 

Report on Guru Purnima

On 20th  July, 2024,  the auspicious day of Guru Purnima  was celebrated in our Vidyalaya at around 9am in the school premises. Smti. M.Rajni Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman was the Chief Guest whereas Shri. B.Shanmugam, Proprietor, Laxmi Jewellery, Tusnabad  was the Guest of Honour. The program was anchored by Smti. Kirti Tiwari.

Around 650 Students, all the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff were present.

At first, the program started by lighting the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour followed by Ekyamantra. Then there was a welcome address by the Principal Smti. Sabita Devi. Guests  were welcomed with bouquet.

On this auspicious occasion, Speech was presented by Miss. Rakhi Kishen one of our teachers and N.K.Shama Sajid of class XI  in which they highlighted on the significance of the day. Songs were presented by the students of class XI. 

Topper students of the academic session 2022-23 and 2023-24 were felicitated along with their parents. Thereafter the Chief Guest addressed the gathering. Momemtos were presented to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour.

At last, Smti. B. Latha, one of our teachers, proposed Vote of thanks.

The program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Observance of Anti Dengue Month

 

On 16th  July, 2024, at around 10am, PHC Chouldari organized 'Observance of Anti Dengue Month ' in the school Mini Hall. Around 100 students have participated. Two sessions were conducted by Dr. Smitha and Dr. Sabir to aware the children about the causes and precautionary steps to avoid dengue. In the first session Dr. Smitha spoke about diarrhoea and dehydration. She also explained the importance of hand wash and demonstrated the proper handwashing techniques with the help of a student. The second session was presented by Dr. Sabir. He discussed mainly about dengue, its symptoms and causes and also gave precautionary measures to spread awareness among the students.

Our Principal Smti. Sabita Devi, also addressed the gathering with her inspiring words.

At last, Smti. Kirti Tiwari, one of our teachers, proposed Vote of thanks.



Student Parliament

On Monday 8th July 2024, student parliament was organized in the school premises of VKZPV Port Mout. The program began with lighting the lamp. Nearly 30 students were elected for the student council, and handed over the duties and charges.

Sanskar Vargha

On Friday 5th July 2024, Sanskar Vargha was conducted in the school premises of VKZPV Port Mout. The program began with lighting the lamp. Around 70 students participated in games and yoga. A speech on unsung hero ‘Durgawati Bai’ with Sankalp was delivered. Lastly we ended the program with slogans and prarthana.

On 4th July 2024, Swami Vivekananda Samadhi day was observed in the school premises. All the teachers and students paid floral tribute to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda.
