 SADHANA DIWAS (ASTHRA) 2025-26

On 19th  November 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout celebrated the Art, Science, Technology & Handicraft Research Activities Exhibition (ASTHRA) 2025 in connection with Sadhana Diwas the birth anniversary of Eknath Ranade ji with great enthusiasm and vibrancy in the school premises.

 The programme commenced with a graceful inauguration by the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Prakash Adhikari, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, and Shri S. Bhuminathan, Up-Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, who was accompanied by several distinguished members of the Zilla Parishad, dignitaries from neighbouring schools, and officials from various departments.

The Principal of the Vidyalaya extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to the gathering adding the golden words of Eknath Ranade ji- "A nation is built when character is built when there  is a harmonious blending of head, heart and hand "setting a dignified tone for the event.

This was followed by an enlightening and inspiring speech by Shri Kushal Biswas, who spoke on the remarkable life, ideals, and contributions of Eknath Ranade ji in observance of Sadhana Diwas.

A group song by the students of class Xth  & XIth  was presented. The chief guest addressed the gathering with his inspiring words.

A Memento was presented to the Chief guest, special guest and the judges. The Vote of Thanks was eloquently delivered by Smt. Nisha Yadav.

Soon after the formal ceremony, the guests proceeded to explore the exhibits, where students proudly presented their thoughtfully crafted models. Teachers from different departments served as judges, evaluating the exhibits that were meticulously arranged subject-wise and theme-wise.

The models centred around the achievements of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as well as the pressing challenges faced by the region, along with innovative solutions proposed by the students.

Each classroom was aesthetically decorated in harmony with the assigned themes, transforming the school into a vibrant hub of creativity and intellectual expression.

A total of 59 models were showcased, each reflecting the dedication, imagination, and tireless efforts of the students. The exhibition flourished under the valuable guidance and support of Susri Varsha Didi, Secretary of VKVs Andamans, and Shri Venugopal, Education Officer, VKVs Andamans. Parents and visitors arrived in good numbers, exploring the exhibits with keen interest and appreciation, adding warmth and liveliness to the event.

The programme concluded successfully with the active participation of 764 students, 300 parents, 35 teaching and 07 non-teaching staff, leaving behind a memorable celebration of learning, creativity, and collective achievement.

At last, "Swadhyay "was conducted amongst the teachers in connection with Sadhana Diwas.





                      


 SANSKAAR VARGA

Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout, conducted a Sanskaar Varga on November 14th , 2025, with the enthusiastic participation of 38 students from Class VII B.

The session began at 1:40 pm. with three Omkaras, followed by the Shantipath and Karmayoga Shloka. This was followed by a yoga session comprising Ardhakatichakrasana, Hastapadasana, which promoted discipline, balance, and self-awareness while helping students connect their body, mind, and breath for overall well-being.

In the next segment, students practiced the three Agyas — Nishchalo Bhava, Susthito Bhava, and Swastho Bhava. They also participated in engaging games such as “Passing the Cone”, which added fun and excitement to the session.

After that, a storytelling session was held, during which Mohd. Zayaan shared an inspiring story about the unsung hero Jhalkari Bai.

Towards the end, students expressed their reflections during the Avalokan session. The programmed concluded with the Shanti Mantra, followed by the Kendra Prarthana.

Children's day Celebration 2025

On 14th  November 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout celebrated the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru—affectionately known as Chacha Nehru—as Children’s Day with exceptional zeal, vibrant colours, and deep emotional warmth. The entire campus radiated joy, excitement, and youthful energy as students and teachers came together to honour the spirit of childhood.

The celebration commenced with a refreshing and spirited morning assembly, which set a dignified and uplifting tone for the day. The Principal offered a heartfelt floral tribute to Pandit Nehru, remembering his unwavering love for children and his inspiring vision for India’s future. This was followed by thoughtful and motivating speeches. Smti. A. Pooja shared her insights on the significance of the day, while Kumari. Bhavya Das of Class VIII impressed everyone with her eloquent and meaningful words on the priceless value of childhood and the legacy of Chacha Nehru. Adding to the warm ambience, the school also celebrated the birthday of one of its students through the traditional custom of tikka, flower offering, and the presentation of a greeting card.

The day was observed as a Bagless Day for all classes from Balvatika I to Class IX & XI, allowing students to enjoy learning through activities and experiences rather than textbooks. Teachers welcomed their students with affectionate gestures, presenting a small token of love—a beautiful bouquet passed from the Principal and teachers to each student of Balvatika I to Class IX and Class XI. The application of Tika Chandan further expressed respect, blessings, and the bond between teachers and students.

The atmosphere soon grew even more energetic as Miss Ankita Biswas took over the stage with her lively and engaging anchoring. Her confident presence kept the audience entertained and set a spirited pace for the events that followed.

A graceful felicitation ceremony was then held to honour the toppers based on recently held Half Yearly Examination 2025-26, from Balvatika I to Class XI. Each topper received a fresh flower, sacred Chandan (Tilak), and sweets from the Principal. This thoughtful recognition encouraged the achievers and inspired all students to strive for excellence. The school also proudly presented awards for the Best Class and Best English-Speaking Class, fostering healthy competition and building teamwork, discipline, and enthusiasm.

The cultural segment of the programmed was a true feast for the senses. Students from Balvatika I to Class IX and Class XI showcased a rich array of performances, including colourful dances, melodious solo songs, expressive poem recitations, impactful skits, and many more creative presentations. The stage came alive with vibrant costumes, rhythmic music, and the uninhibited joy of children expressing themselves. A Sanskaar Varga was also organised, nurturing values and tradition among the students. Alongside, thrilling games such as tug of war added excitement, lively cheering, and laughter to the joyous atmosphere.

Another highlight of the celebration was the captivating exhibition of paper cut-outs and creative handicrafts prepared by Shri Ramesh Rai from Delhi. His intricate and imaginative creations fascinated the students, opening their minds to creativity, craftsmanship, and artistic brilliance.

To conclude the delightful occasion, a sumptuous and delicious lunch was served to all students from Balvatika I to Class IX & XI. The meal not only satisfied their taste buds but also brought everyone together in a spirit of unity and happiness.

Overall, Children’s Day 2025 was a heartwarming, memorable, and joy-filled celebration. The entire programmed beautifully reflected the energy, dreams, talents, and vibrant spirit of every child at the Vidyalaya. It was a day that reinforced the school’s commitment to nurturing confident, compassionate, and creative future citizens.

Overall, a total no. of 697 students, 33 teaching and 06 non- teaching staff were part of the celebration.
