UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY organized by VKZPV Port Mout at Chouldari Community Hall
The Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated
with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor by Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad
Vidyalaya, Port Mout, on 14th September 2025 at the Chouldari
Community Hall. The event commemorated the historic Chicago Address delivered
by Swami Vivekananda in 1893, spreading the message of universal brotherhood
and harmony.
The program commenced at 9:00 AM, anchored gracefully by the students namely Sneha Joydhar and Anshik Joydhar of Class XI. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed with bouquet which was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, signifying the dispelling of ignorance through the light of knowledge.
The Chief Guest, Shri Prakash Adhikari (Zilla Parishad Adhyaksh), Shri S. Bhoominathan (Up-Adhyaksh), and other esteemed members of the Zilla Parishad graced the occasion.
Other distinguished guests included Man.M.Hanumantha Rao Ji, Vice President,Vivekananda Kendra, Susri Varsha Didi, Secretary, VKVs Andaman,
Shri. Venugopal, Education Officer, VKVs Andaman and the Parent-Teachers Executive Members were also present to grace the occasion.
The cultural segment began with an invocatory dance by the students, setting a spiritual tone for the event. This was followed by the Bhuvan Mandale Geet, sung beautifully by the students, reinforcing the message of global harmony.
Man. M. Hanumantha RaoJi, distributed the prizes to
the winners of various competitions and addressed the gathering, sharing his
profound insights and blessings with all
present. As he said Education is not only for getting knowledge but to promote
the value Indian culture and to bring patriotism in oneself.
A vibrant dance performance based on Indian culture
captivated the audience, showcasing the students dedication and creativity.
A speech was delivered on the Chicago address with
confidence and clarity by Nitin Mandal of Class XI, which earned loud applause
from the audience. The speech was followed by a skit based on Swami
Vivekananda’s Chicago Address, which was both educational and well-received.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Smti. Menoka Paik, one of the dedicated teachers of the Vidyalaya. The celebration came to a close with the singing of the National Anthem, evoking a sense of pride and patriotism.
